Are you talking about just using Google to search the web in the New Tab? Chrome's Omnibox/location bar/address bar is a Google searchbox. In the new tab, just type in your search terms and hit Enter. Or, if there is some text on a webpage that you wish to search the web for, you can do this: Highlight/select the text with the mouse, then right-click the text and select "Search Google for" -- You received this message because you are listed in the owner or CC fields of this issue, or because you starred this issue.
