It really is annoying to hit Ctrl + F every time. type-ahead-find was something I used in firefox a lot too. Why can't this feature just be added to the options in chrome? would a little checkbox be such a big deal? Make it off by default and everyone goes home happy. It's not like the average user is going to snoop around "under the hood" anyways, and if they do stumble on this feature they might really enjoy it.
