New issue 5436 by i...@pixelmedia.it: Google Gears isn't detected
http://code.google.com/p/chromium/issues/detail?id=5436

Chrome Version : <1.0.154.36>
URLs (if applicable) :
Other browsers tested:
Add OK or FAIL after other browsers where you have tested this issue:
      Safari 3: OK
     Firefox 3:OK
          IE 7:OK

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Go to http://gears.google.com
2.
3.

What is the expected result?
See the gears dialog that shows wich version is installed

What happens instead?
The dialog is not shown and if I open the Javascript console I get the error
Uncaught TypeError: Object #<an HTMLObjectElement> has no
method 'getBuildInfo'
http://gears.google.com/js_utils.js (line 256)

Please provide any additional information below. Attach a screenshot if
possible.
Windows XP Service Pack 3 fully patched.

Right now we can't suggest our clients to use Google Chrome for our
applications (based on Google
Gears) because Google Gears doesn't work on Google Chrome!!

Incredible...

Hope you'll fix it soon.
