New issue 5606 by stshank: image metadata stripped from JPEG on upload http://code.google.com/p/chromium/issues/detail?id=5606 Chrome Version : <REPLACE this with your version. Ex: 0.3.154.3> URLs (if applicable) : istockphoto.com Other browsers tested: Firefox 3.1b2, IE 7 Add OK or FAIL after other browsers where you have tested this issue: Safari 3: Firefox 3: OK IE 7: FAIL What steps will reproduce the problem? 1. Go to iStockphoto.com, upload a photo (must be an approved member) 2. When upload is complete, iStock presents a page where you can enter information about the keywords. However, metadata I've previously added, including keywords/tags, title, and caption, is stripped out. What is the expected result? Metadata is transported with no trouble. What happens instead? Metadata doesn't appear at iStockphoto. Please provide any additional information below. Attach a screenshot if possible. This issue is a mystery to me: I also tried uploading metadata-tagged images to Flickr with Chrome 0.4.154.33, Firefox 3.0.4, and IE 7. Metadata was preserved fine with all three. So perhaps the problem I'm having is on iStockphoto's end. Attached screenshot shows empty metadata fields.
