I am not using the same router i have a linksys WRT150N. However I have seen the same issue. I have only had this issue when I leave the username blank. Since the username is not needed to log-in it should be alright for the user to leave it blank. When trying to access the router with other browsers it is possible to log in using a blank username but not in chrome.
