Comment #10 on issue 2856 by smtpserver42: cursor jumps to end of e-mail http://code.google.com/p/chromium/issues/detail?id=2856
I can reproduce a cursor jumping issue in Chrome. The cursor jump occurs in Gmail if you are typing a message while an attached file is uploading. As soon as the file finishes uploading, the cursor jumps to the end of the message. But you must have existing text below your current cursor position (e.g., a signature or an email you are replying to). Chrome Version : 1.0.154.36 OS version : XP SP3 URLs (if applicable) : N/A Other browsers tested: Add OK or FAIL after other browsers where you have tested this issue: Safari 3: not tested Firefox 3: OK IE 7: not tested What steps will reproduce the problem? 1. in Gmail, reply to an email (or type text into a message with text _below_ your current cursor position. 2. Stop editing momentarily, and click "Attach a file". The file should be large enough that it takes a several seconds to load. 3. While the file is uploading, edit your email message near the top of the message (with text below your current cursor position). Type continuously while the file is uploading. 4. When the file finishes uploading, the cursor jumps to the end of the messages and any characters you are typing are now being entered at the end of the message, below the text that was already there.
