Comment #26 on issue 1028 by pileot: Continue downloads in background when Chrome is closed http://code.google.com/p/chromium/issues/detail?id=1028
@chu Sorry, im not understanding... are you saying you DO or DONT want a firefox style download window? I wouldnt mind using the download window if there were a LOT more options... - Condenced version (One line per file, remove the graphics and empty space) - Option to stop/pause/remove individual files - Option to throttle downloads (limit to X speeds, some of us like being able to browse the internet as we download) - Active files moved to the top to keep track of them easier - Tooltip style messages of completed files - Warning messages if chrome is being closed and files are being downloaded The download bar is fine for one or two files, but when switching between tabs and opening/closing windows it becaomes more of an annoyance than anything else. And as stated before, if you download a lot of files it becomes useless (try downloading more than 15 files at once). Reguardless of your viewpoint most of us are here because we are tired of losing files because of a poor download system. -- You received this message because you are listed in the owner or CC fields of this issue, or because you starred this issue.
