If a button or feature cannot be added I would suggest making the default be to print the page just as it looks in the browser and not add a header or footer or extra margins. Adding a header or footer should be the optional state and wysiwyg should be the default. Again, in Firefox this is "margins=0" and "shrink to fit page width", no header or footer. Just change this to the default.
