I have quite a bit memory and harddisk available. The 100% CPU issue was not there before this release. I see one more person making similar comment on this release at http://googlechromereleases.blogspot.com/2009/01/dev-update-weekly-bug- fixes_22.html#comments "Kwok said... Anyone getting 100% cpu usage when certain tabs are displayed? Doesn't seem to be consisten with the sites though 11:43 AM, January 23, 2009" Therefore, I assume it is a chrome issue but probably not that easy to reproduce.
