Comment #44 on issue 1028 by rjw.pope: Do not stop downloads when closing the corresponding tab/window http://code.google.com/p/chromium/issues/detail?id=1028
On windows (XP+?) use a bubble notification to alert users to a potentially unsafe file requiring attention? Bubbles are the least obtrusive way to provide information from a tray icon and they are part of the OS making things very simple. The other option (X-platform) would be utilising a toast window (for those unfamiliar with the term toast this is the type of window used by Windows Live Messenger (MSN) et al.) -- You received this message because you are listed in the owner or CC fields of this issue, or because you starred this issue.
