I inspected the code and could not find a way the TaskManagerWebContentsResourceProvider could miss a notification of a WebContents being disconnected. The notification always happens before the WebContents is destroyed. In order to try to repro, I changed the update timer from 1s to 10ms and spent some time opening/closing tabs.
