I did not get much luck to get the tab crash in XP/SP3 on 1.0.154.48
(Official Build
9043).

Would you please follow these steps to attach the crash dump over here.

Alternatively, if the above step does not help to get crash dump:
-Go to Google Chrome Options/Under the Hood tab and select the check
box "Help make
Google Chrome better by automatically sending usage........"
-Restart Google Chrome
-Reproduce the crash
-system menu start/run type eventvwr and hit enter key
-In Application page you will notice Chrome under source coloumn.
-If you double click on that row, you will get a dialog with crash ID.
Please send us the crashID.
