What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Go to your normal Gmail account, then open any long mail you may have.
2. Put the mouse cursor over the white panel, which is the panel where the
message´s info is displayed.
3. Press the autoscroll button in your mouse, and try to autoscroll all the
way down the page or all the way up.
What is the expected result?
Chrome is supposed to autoscroll the page down and up, no matter where the
cursor is located in the page.
What happens instead?
Well, Chrome doesn't autoscroll when the cursor is placed inside the
message´s white panel, instead, it autoscrolls when you place the cursor
outside the panel.
Please provide any additional information below. Attach a screenshot if
possible.
The thing is, that Chrome is definitely supposed to autoscroll the page, no
matter where you place the cursor, and it doesn't do the job when trying to
do it while leaving the cursor inside the message´s panel. Instead, it
autoscrolls, but only when you place the cursor outside the message´s
panel.
I reproduced this little issue quite a few times, in different Chrome
installations and the same happened. Tested in Firefox 3, and it
autoscrolled successfully, as well as in IE7, no matter where the cursor
was, it still tried to autoscroll.
