The problem is that we develop on GCC 4.2, while GCC 4.3 is pickier about all these warnings. It is a good thing for it to warn -- those all could have been real bugs -- but we don't notice them while developing. It would be nice to have a 4.3 buildbot but it will be yet another way for the build to go red. I'm not sure the non-Linux people would be too happy about it.
