Comment #28 on issue 5083 by budisugianto: High browser process CPU usage from Flash on Vista http://code.google.com/p/chromium/issues/detail?id=5083
I'm also have the same problem. Running windows XP home SP3, 1GB RAM, using AC power, Chrome 1.0.154.48, Shockwave Flash 10.0 r12. CPU load get higher (40-70%) when playing Flash, some tab become unresponsive. It would become normal when Shockwave Flash plugin terminated from task manager menu. It happens all the time. I've noticed also high Page fault delta value for the chrome on Process Explorer and when the process terminated then some tab would display "the following plug-in has crashed: Shockwave Flash" and the chrome would responsive again. -- You received this message because you are listed in the owner or CC fields of this issue, or because you starred this issue.
