Comment #24 on issue 1565 by theodorejb: Don't make GoogleUpdate always-resident http://code.google.com/p/chromium/issues/detail?id=1565
I delete the startup entry using CCleaner, watch the Google Chrome Releases blog for updates, and update Chrome manually (by clicking the About button). I think the best way to do this would be for Chrome to automatically check for updates when you open it, and prompt you to install them. There's no reason for Chrome to slow down your computer with Google Updater. -- You received this message because you are listed in the owner or CC fields of this issue, or because you starred this issue.
