Chrome Version : 2.0.166.1 Operating System : Windows XP Home Edition SP2 What steps will reproduce the problem? 1. Open Downloads using UI or Ctrl+J 2. Open History using UI or Ctrl+H What is the expected result? History/Downloads tab opens instantly in the current window What happens instead? The entire browser process hangs for approx 5 seconds. While it hangs, an additional "blank" entry appears in the taskbar. The entire brower is unresponsive. There is a noticeable increase in CPU usage on the main browser process via Chrome's and Windows' Task Manager. After the tab opens the taskbar entry goes away and the window opens as expected. Please provide any additional information below. Attach a screenshot if possible. I have tried clearing my history and download caches, with no effect on loading time.
