Comment #4 on issue 1643 by sean.s.lee: The memory leak in the root process
http://code.google.com/p/chromium/issues/detail?id=1643

Hi, I'm just a regular non-techie and I'm having a similar problem. I
start up
Chrome and immediately my physical memory usage in the Window Task Manager
starts to
rise very steadily til it maxes out rendering my computer useless. See
attachments.
The 1st pic shows the memory leak, then the 2nd pic shows how the memory
drops after
I kill the Chrome process.

This is a brand new Gateway laptop with 4gb's of RAM and now Chrome doesn't
work at
all. I uninstalled/reinstalled Chrome and same result. Going to have to
stop using
Chrome. Hope it's fixed soon.
