Any action that results in your old profile being moved away and a fresh

being created will break our default install (and also maker a lot of other

unavailable)... so I'd say that this is a system configuration issue not

related with Chrome. If I am not understanding correctly the scenario  
please re-open.

Everybody else:
Win 7 64-bit is not supported by Chrome 1.0.xx (and probably, it will not be
supported). If you want to try the beta version of the OS, please switch to  
the Dev
channel for Chrome 2.0 which has support for that OS. BTW,  
--in-process-plugins is
not really recommended or supported.
