The following information would be useful to me: (a) what are the proxy settings being used for chrome (wrench->options->under the hood->change proxy settings->LAN settings). A screenshot or description of this dialog would be great. Also an experiment that would be useful is to try with the latest version of chrome, using the flag --v8-proxy-resolver.
