Status: Unconfirmed Owner: ---- Labels: Type-Bug Pri-2 OS-All Area-Misc New issue 9319 by dngnta: Opening links with a hash in them in a new tab results in the new tab being erroneously scrolled all the way to the bottom http://code.google.com/p/chromium/issues/detail?id=9319
Chrome Version : 2.0.171.0 (Official Build 12323) (has happened for quite some time, so applies to prior versions too) URLs (if applicable) : http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/DVD_region_code Other browsers tested: Add OK or FAIL after other browsers where you have tested this issue: Safari 4: OK Firefox 3.x: OK IE 7: OK IE 8: OK What steps will reproduce the problem? 1. Go to http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/DVD_region_code 2. Scroll to the bottom of the page 3. Hold Control and click the "Blu-ray Region codes" link under "See also". 4. Ctrl-Tab to the newly opened tab *AFTER* it has finished loading. What is the expected result? The newly opened tab should be scrolled to the "Region codes" heading in the Blu-ray disc page. What happens instead? The newly opened tab is instead scrolled all the way to the bottom of the page. Please provide any additional information below. Attach a screenshot if possible. Happens pretty much everywhere. Note that if you change to the new tab before it has finished loading, it will in fact scroll to the correct position. Therefore it is imperative to verify this by letting the new tab load completely and *then* changing to it. (And in my personal use this happens way too often, as I like to open numerous tabs and come back to them later..) -- You received this message because you are listed in the owner or CC fields of this issue, or because you starred this issue.
