More info: after the next merge, I've got even more http tests failing this way. It became suspicious so I didn't add them to test_expectations.txt and they passed just fine on the waterfall. So it seems it's my local machine issue. That means perhaps the tests in this bug are actually ok everywhere except on my machine.
