Comment #35 on issue 9007 by brazentone: Crash on First Run http://code.google.com/p/chromium/issues/detail?id=9007
It seems chromium is built from the core to depend on SSE2. There does not appear to be a non-SSE2 branch, so I suppose anyone with an old Athlon or Coppermine P3 will have to deal with not being able to run the software. Welcome to obsolescence, my friends. shao1555, this is not the same bug you're having. If you have an SSE2 processor, and it's still crashing on launch, it's probably a DIFFERENT PROBLEM. This thread is about "illegal instruction." A segmentation fault is very different. -- You received this message because you are listed in the owner or CC fields of this issue, or because you starred this issue.
