Comment #6 on issue 441 by unknown.unit: Scrolling or selecting text
repeatedly pegs CPU at 100%
http://code.google.com/p/chromium/issues/detail?id=441

I am repeatedly having intermittent issues on almost all websites
(sometimes it
doesn't happen, don't know why) where when I scroll more than one or 2
lines at a
time my music player glitches. I have not noticed a cpu spike but perhaps
it is too
rapidly disappearing (it is a momentary glitch in the audio) to be shown
within the
display interval set in my task manager. This did not happen until
sometime after
Chromium hit version 2 but I cannot say at what point it happened.

Yes, I know this is about as vague as a comment/report can be. I'm a coder
myself
and I hate reports like this. but it does not happen in IE or FF, ever
(there may be
a spike but it is not enough to interfere with the running of any other
application
so I don't mind.) much as I dislike both of those other browsers this is a
major
show stopper for me (I listen to music near constantly while working) and I
no longer
use Chrome/Chromium for anything much and can no longer recommend to any of
my
friends or acquaintances or random people in the street that they use it.
I still
try it regularly in the hopes that the issue has been sorted out but as
soon as the
problem shows up I switch back to one of the others.
