I can see the reasoning behind not disabling this by default. Although the  
prospect of
chrome saving credit card numbers is slightly disconcerting to me.

I think it would be a good idea if autocompletion could be selectively  
disabled for
either certain websites or just pages served HTTPS. (Where users expect  
greater
security, which is somewhat devalued by saving their data locally) As much  
as it should
be the responsibility of the webmaster, some effort should be made to alert  
the user to
the risks of sensitive data being stored by the auto-fill functionality.
