We probably can't account for every possible interpreter / unsafe renderer  
that might
be installed on a system and registered to handle a particular file  
extension (say, I
have http://www.autoitscript.com/autoit3/ installed, but I don't expect  
Chrome or
Safari to know what au3 files do), although we might try to cover the most  
common
ones... how common is Python on Windows?

This demonstrates why auto-download / one-click open is tricky, but not  
sure what
could be done in absence of a unified way for registered applications to  
inform the
browser they are capable of safely handling web-originating files...
