Comment #2 on issue 15736 by krtulmay: Recently closed Tab Section http://code.google.com/p/chromium/issues/detail?id=15736
The blue icon with the "xx tabs" next to it is actually a mini-Chrome icon. In fact, it is _not_ showing the recently closed _website_ but the recently closed _window_, that had xx tabs open when it was closed. If your Chrome window had more tabs open when you closed it, the number for "xx tabs" would be higher, and you would see one icon for every tab that was open in that window. That is why you see the blue mini-Chrome icon from your originally posted case; it's because you subsequently closed Chrome and relaunched it. And that is why you do see the website name from Comment 1; it's because you only closed a tab. This behavior is by design and it's because the "Recently closed" section is exactly that. It is not only just for tabs, but also for recently closed Chrome windows as well. In fact, the heading was changed to the current one to reflect this functionality. -- You received this message because you are listed in the owner or CC fields of this issue, or because you starred this issue.
