New issue 15831 by jordonwii: Middle-clicking a link to open in new tab  
causes new tab to close

Chrome Version       : 3.0.192.0 (Developer Build 19816)
Other browsers tested:
   Add OK or FAIL after other browsers where you have tested this issue:
      Safari 4: OK
   Firefox 3.x: OK
          IE 7: OK
          IE 8: OK

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Middle-click a link
2. A new tab will open for that link, and then instantly close.
3. Right-click on the link, and select "Open in new tab".  It works.

What is the expected result?
The tab should open like it would normally.

What happens instead?
The tab closes.

Please provide any additional information below. Attach a screenshot if
possible.
I'm running the above version of Chromium on Linux, but I know this is an  
issue in the latest Windows Chromium as well.  This is not
an issue in Google Chrome on Windows, only Chromium.
