Comment #20 on issue 14539 by tomba4: Linux: cannot open any HTTPS page (https proxy related?) http://code.google.com/p/chromium/issues/detail?id=14539
Ok, a clarification then :) 1) my initial report was about a timeout when opening https pages. I was using system wide proxy setting (in KDE control center) and http_proxy environment variable 2) Michal mentioned https_proxy variable, which I had never heard of before and I tried that. 3) with https_proxy set, Chrome crashes when entering HTTPS site. Unfortunately I no longer have access to the machine where the problem was occuring. Since I seem to be the only one experiencing it, I assume it was related to my particular OS. -- You received this message because you are listed in the owner or CC fields of this issue, or because you starred this issue.
