New issue 16169 by Hannes.nz: Show the URL in status bar when selecting
bookmark
http://code.google.com/p/chromium/issues/detail?id=16169
Chrome Version : 3.0.191.3
URLs (if applicable) :
Other browsers tested:
Add OK or FAIL after other browsers where you have tested this issue:
Safari 4: Don't know
Opera: OK
Firefox 3.x: OK
IE: In a way, OK
What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Use Bookmark folders
2. Open a bookmark folder dropdown
3. Hover over a bookmark
4. No indication of where the bookmark url is
What is the expected result?
That the blue URL link indicator appears showing the link of the bookmark
you are hovering over
What happens instead?
Nothing to show the URL of the bookmark
Please provide any additional information below. Attach a screenshot if
possible.
When a bookmark is applied directly to the bookmark bar, when you hover
over it, it shows a tool hint of the name and URL. But nothing happens
when a bookmark is in a folder.
Other popular browsers all show the URL of a hovered bookmark in the status
bar.
It is quite useful to know where a bookmark will take you, because the name
of the bookmark isn't always enough.
