Comment #9 on issue 4476 by pcxunlimited: Need Greasemonkey-compatibility
shims
http://code.google.com/p/chromium/issues/detail?id=4476

I tried to create a User Script to implement some of these shims, but it
didn't work.
The strange thing is, it will create the functions properly, but they're
local to the
single User Script. Attaching the functions to the global object (window)
didn't help
any. I'm not exactly sure how to fix it, but any suggestions would be
appreciated.

P.S. I am aware that this is something that should be native to Chrome;
nonetheless
it'd be great to have a temporary User Script implementing these shims in
the mean-
time.
