New issue 16778 by gketan: Opening a link does not flash the program in task bar when window is on another workspace http://code.google.com/p/chromium/issues/detail?id=16778 Chrome Version : 3.0.194.0~svn20090713r20481-0ubuntu1~ucd1~jaunty OS + version : Ubuntu 9.04 CPU architecture (32-bit / 64-bit): 64-bit window manager : compiz URLs (if applicable) : Behavior in Firefox 3.x (if applicable): Behavior in Chrome for Windows (optional): What steps will reproduce the problem? 1. Make sure Chromium is the default web browser (System -> Preferences -> Preferred Applications) 2. Start Chromium on Workspace 1 3. Switch to Workspace 2 4. Start Terminal and type http://www.google.com 5. Right click on the above link and chose Open Link. What is the expected result? The link should open in chromium on workspace 1 and user should be notified by flashing the program in task bar in workspace 2 so the user can click it and user is switched to workspace 1 with open linked. What happens instead?
