Updates: Status: Fixed Comment #14 on issue 3801 by js...@chromium.org: Drag PDF file to Chrome: Non-ASCII file name showing as encoded file name http://code.google.com/p/chromium/issues/detail?id=3801
It turned out that Brett had fixed the issue as initially reported in http://codereview.chromium.org/39022 ( http://src.chromium.org/viewvc/chrome?view=rev&revision=10872 ) The remaining issue is what Glen wrote at http://codereview.chromium.org/8973 (for issue 2529 and issue 2375) <quote> I think showing the full URL for non-HTML remote resources is wrong (that is, if you're looking at a PDF or image, you should be shown the filename). I guess what we want is: * URL for remote HTML content. * Filename for all local content, and all non-HTML remote content (e.g. PDF / TXT / Image). </quote> However, that should be a separate feature request. It's issue 17312. BTW, while testing this, I found that a file with a character between U+0080 - U+00FF can't be opened with drag'n'drop. I thought I had fixed it in http://codereview.chromium.org/151065, but I was wrong (TEST= even doesn't mention drag'n'drop). -- You received this message because you are listed in the owner or CC fields of this issue, or because you starred this issue.
