I'm not a security expert, but if for example the previous version of Google Chrome had an escalation of privilege vulnerability, would it not be possible for malicious software to take advantage of this fact? Regardless, it's very annoying that Google Chrome is the *only* application listed as insecure in Secunia PSI, preventing a 100% system score. The Google Update process can prompt the user to restart and then remove the previous version. If the user declines, they can live with the extra version until the next update, at least it gives us the option.
