Comment #2 on issue 15745 by kevin.ra...@ntlworld.com: Chrome does not support the HTML EMBED tag "pluginspage" attribute http://code.google.com/p/chromium/issues/detail?id=15745
Has any progress been made on this ? The other main browsers (IE, Firefox, Safari) support downloading of plugins via an embedded HTML tag ... * IE has a mechanism for downloading an ActiveX Control (packaged as a .CAB file) over the internet via the OBJECT tag "codebase" attribute. * Firefox has a mechanism for downloading an NPAPI Plugin (packaged as an .XPI file) over the internet via the EMBED tag "pluginspage" attribute. * Safari has a mechanism for downloading an NPAPI Plugin (packaged as an .EXE installer file) over the internet via the EMBED tag "pluginspage" attribute. -- You received this message because you are listed in the owner or CC fields of this issue, or because you starred this issue.
