The problem seems to be that the _MOTIF_WM_HINTS property doesn't get
reloaded in
Openbox when it changes -- the decorations are shown or omitted correctly
for new
windows but not changed for existing ones. Both Metacity and Compiz reload
the
property, so I've sent a patch to the Openbox mailing list implementing the
same
thing. I'm attaching my patch; it appears to fix this issue when applied
to the tip
of the Openbox tree.
