I have this same problem when using Wordpress. When I write a post, I copy text from another document (either with the menus, or with Ctrl+C), however it won't paste into the Wordpress text field when using Chrome. I can paste the copied text elsewhere, e.g. into a text editor, so the problem seems to be specific to Chrome, and not with the operating system's clipboard. I am using Ubuntu 9.04.
