btw Huan, to clarify: the skia revision I'm referring to is 275 was never  
reverted,
only the update from 279:284 was.  I'm just wondering if something in that  
new code
makes it more likely to hit stack corruption when on the main thread.  I  
did check on
Windows and both before and after there'd be 1MB of reserved stack space.
