New issue 18332 by y.yanbe: Embedded bitmap font is primarily used for
rendering Japanese texts instead of anti-aliased one
http://code.google.com/p/chromium/issues/detail?id=18332

Chrome Version : 3.0.197.0~svn20090802r22252-0ubuntu1~ucd1~intrepid
OS + version : Ubuntu 8.10 Intrepid
CPU architecture (32-bit / 64-bit): 32-bit
window manager : GNOME 2.24.1
URLs (if applicable) : http://www.google.co.jp/search?hl=ja&q=テスト&btnG=
検索&lr=
Behavior in Firefox 3.x (if applicable): Always rendered with Anti-aliased
font
Behavior in Chrome for Windows (optional): Always rendered with embedded
bitmap font

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Go page includes Japanese texts with font-size:medium or small, such as
http://www.google.co.jp/search?hl=ja&q=テスト&btnG=検索&lr=

What is the expected result?
All texts are rendered with anti-aliased font as it is available, like
Firefox 3 on Linux does.

What happens instead?
A page is unusually rendered: embedded bitmap font is used for normal
Japanese text, but anti-aliased font is used for bold Japanese text and
ASCII characters.
After I changed font size 2 levels bigger manually with shortcut
Control+PLUS, all texts are rendered with anti-aliased font.

Please provide any additional information below. Attach a screenshot and
backtrace if possible.
I attached screenshot.
