Status: Unconfirmed Owner: ---- Labels: Type-Bug Pri-2 OS-All Area-Misc New issue 18510 by karstenborngraber: Single automated sign-in when using a proxy http://code.google.com/p/chromium/issues/detail?id=18510
Chrome Version : 2.0.172.39 (Official Build ) URLs (if applicable) : N/A Other browsers tested: Add OK or FAIL after other browsers where you have tested this issue: Safari 4: Firefox 3.x: IE 7: OK IE 8: What steps will reproduce the problem? 1.Opening Google Chrome Browser. 2.Chrome then asks you to type your User Name and Password if you are using a proxy, if not it continues. 3. What is the expected result? If the User Name and Password are the same as previously used, then it will just use the previously cache one and continue. If the password has changed, then it will first ask for an updated password and then continue to open the pages it needs to. So it therefore does a check that the authentication is correct, if it is, then it continues with the following actions. What happens instead? It asks you to authenticate for every tab that is opened upon the launch of Chrome. So if 5 tabs were open the last time you closed Chrome, then 5 tabs will open and each individually ask for User Name and Password. Please provide any additional information below. Attach a screenshot if possible. -- You received this message because you are listed in the owner or CC fields of this issue, or because you starred this issue.
