Comment #13 on issue 18556 by alexandr...@yahoo.com: Dev channel with themes crashes on start up http://code.google.com/p/chromium/issues/detail?id=18556
See it's the same solution as Issue 18456 since it's the same problem. In order to fix the problem: 1. Go to XP: C:\Documents and Settings\USER\Local Settings\Application Data\Google\Chrome\User Data\Default\Extensions or Vista: C:\Users\USER\AppData\Local\Google\Chrome\User Data\Default\Extensions 2. Delete the folder that contains the theme that caused the error. (For me it was "hkacjpbfdknhflllbcmjibkdeoafenc" since the Classic/Default theme caused the problem) 3. Open up Chrome, and it is fixed, may have to keep deleting the folders until you find the right one This will cause an error message on the chrome://extensions/ page, in order to get rid of that error, just: 1. Go back to https://tools.google.com/chrome/intl/en/themes/index.html 2. Download the theme that caused the error (DO NOT CLOSE CHROME AFTER THIS, OR THE PROBLEM WILL HAPPEN AGAIN!) 3. Go to chrome://extensions/ and click on Delete on the last extension, which is causing the problem (If not seem, refresh the page) 4. Go to the Wrench > Options > Personal Stuff > Reset to default theme 5. Now you can restart the browser, and the error on chrome://extensions/ will be gone You are going to have to download a different theme, since downloading the theme that causes the problem will cause the problem again. Again this is the same Issue as Issue 18456 and the themes wont show on chrome://extensions/ after the fix. -- You received this message because you are listed in the owner or CC fields of this issue, or because you starred this issue.
