I would really like to see the status bubble expand for larger URLs. In my opinion, showing more URL text is far more important than any minor aesthetic gain from truncating the URL and keeping the bubble at a fixed width. If the fixed width is that big of a deal, at least expand it. While the current ratio (a third, by the looks of it) is fine when maximized on my widescreen, it makes status bubbles frustratingly small and truncates most URLs in thinner windows.
