% GYP_DEFINES="no_strict_aliasing=1" ./tools/gyp/gyp -f scons build/all.gyp
and try building again. We have work to do before it'll build with aliasing
enabled
and GCC 4.4.
(I marking this fixed because it sort of works and this isn't a good
tracking bug for
the issue.)
