New issue 19460 by lawrencelry: Omni Bar doesn't accept some Chinese
characters.
http://code.google.com/p/chromium/issues/detail?id=19460

Chrome Version : <4.0.202.0 (202.0)>
URLs (if applicable) :
Other browsers tested: WebKit, Safari
Add OK or FAIL after other browsers where you have tested this issue:
      Safari 4: OK
   Firefox 3.x: OK
          IE 7: OK
          IE 8: OK

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Launch Chromium for Mac.
2. Switch to Chinese input method IMKQIM (1.6.6 1B091).
3. Input Chinese keywords 小田 in the Omni Bar.

What is the expected result?
The intended Chinese keywords appear in the Omni Bar.

What happens instead?

After typing the first letter (t) in the romanized form of 田 (tian), the t
appears in the Omni Bar as
an independent letter instead of the first in a string that constitutes the
romanization, thus
rendering it impossible to type the character 田.

Please provide any additional information below. Attach a screenshot if
possible.

This issue occurs with a lot of Chinese characters when using IMKQIM as the
input method. (I
haven't tested other common Chinese input methods for Mac OS X, such as FIT
and the built-in
one.) In most cases, after two or three attempts, one is able to type the
character in question
(such as 田 in the above example). The frequent occurrence of the problem,
however, results in a
crippled experience for Chinese users when using the current build of
Chromium for Mac.
