I started working on this. I have very promising results with creating the
gtk_plug in
the plugin process first, then plugging it into a newly created gtk_socket
in the
browser process (that let me open youtube in a background tab, and that
worked).
The plumbing has to be reworked though, but that should bring it closer to
Windows I
think.
