Comment #25 on issue 16787 by behanz: Java Plugin not working http://code.google.com/p/chromium/issues/detail?id=16787
@23 Only supporting new style plugin means requiring the latest Java jre (1.6), because the plugin doesn't seem to be present in earlier versions. @24 Exactly what i thought, see my comment 12. I tried getting around this by making a copy of the i386 directory in chrome plugins path. This fails with a lot of dynamic linking errors. Even after poking around for a while and copying few so's here and there, i couldn't get it to work. Maybe the jvm can really only be used from the jre dir, or something is not working in chrome. -- You received this message because you are listed in the owner or CC fields of this issue, or because you starred this issue.
