Comment #4 on issue 18010 by CrewXp: tab freezes when waiting for data from
host
http://code.google.com/p/chromium/issues/detail?id=18010

Wow... I read this and noticed this is EXACTLY what's happening to me. I
thought it
was just a buggy chrome, but when I look at the bottom when it freezes..
its always
loading something form the host. And the guy below is right too. Seems like
it
(err... nvm. My chrome just froze in the middle of typing this for no
reason for
about 3 seconds.)... anywho, what I was saying before it froze. Is that it
seems like
it freezes when its waiting from the host. Usually happens on pages with
lots of ads
(Err.. froze again, WTH!).

I have this problem with the official chrome release, the latest dev release
(4.0.202.0), and just installed the LATEST trunk release of chromium. All
have the
problem. Seems like its something persistant in all releases.

I have a i7 920 Processor, 2 Video cards, and 12GB of ram. 40% is being
used, when i
close chrome, it goes to 20%. Doubt its my hardware.

This is really annoying.. I always read tickets, but never notice them
being fixed. I
still have the problem of right-clicking a link, and I still have to click
2-3 times
on the 'Open in new tab' link to get it to actually open in the new tab.

Sucks... especially since chrome is officially out of beta.

Any fix would be greatly appreciated. If it goes on for a month with no fix
(just
froze again now), I'm switching back to firefox... :( Sad. Don't remember
having this
problem in the early stages of the beta with Chrome.

any suggestions? or anything I should do the next time I notice a freeze?
(Somehow
obtain a dump?) Let me know!! I would really like to get this fixed. This is
obviously not stable. (Froze again for exactly a second).... Firefox works
fine! I
have windows 7 and about 50 tabs open. Have 100 open in firefox.
