@47 Well, that certainly explains a lot.

Maybe it would suffice if distros simply started installing the plugin  
somewhere
else. I haven't seen a running Netscape in a long time, and i doubt anyone  
has, and
if the plugin has a piece of code that deliberately breaks things (read:  
tries to
make it work in netscape), then changing the path permanently seems like a  
logical step.
