New issue 20873 by [email protected]: Dragging tab always pops into new
window; multiple monitors, Linux
http://code.google.com/p/chromium/issues/detail?id=20873

Chrome Version : google-chrome-unstable 4.0.203.2-r24690
OS + version : Ubuntu hardy
CPU architecture (32-bit / 64-bit): 64-bit
window manager : Gnome 2.22.3

I manage to get Chromium into a state where I can no longer drag and drop
tabs. Whenever I try to drag a tab, it opens the selected tab in a new
window.

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Open a new Chrome instance; call this window A
2. Create a new window; call this window B (I use the CTRL+N shortcut)
3. Drag window B to the second montor
3. Create a new tab in window B
4. Drag the newly created tab from window B into a new window (C) on the
same monitor
5. Create a new tab in window C
6. Try to drag that tab; the tab immediately pops into a new window without
letting you drag it around.

Please provide any additional information below. Attach a screenshot
and backtrace if possible.

Once steps 1-5 above are taken, tab dragging is broken even if I completely
kill Chrome (using 'pkill chrome'). Tab dragging does not work again until
X is restarted.

Compiz is enabled and I have 4 virtual desktops.
