New issue 21976 by ksmwsk: Creating Application Shortcuts under Gnome doe's
nothing
http://code.google.com/p/chromium/issues/detail?id=21976

Chrome Version : Chromium 4.0.211.0 (Developer Build Ubuntu build
26265)
WebKit 532.0
V8 1.3.11
User Agent Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux x86_64; en-US) AppleWebKit/532.0
(KHTML, like Gecko) Chrome/4.0.211.0 Safari/532.0

URLs (if applicable) : gmail.com
Other browsers tested: not applicable
Add OK or FAIL after other browsers where you have tested this issue:
      Safari 4:
   Firefox 3.x:
          IE 7:
          IE 8:

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Trying to create an application shortcut through the page menu ->
nothing happens
2. Trying to start chromium in app mode manually with the following
commandline: chromium-browser --app=www.gmail.com
3.

What is the expected result?
cromium starting gmail in appmode

What happens instead?
Through the page menu nothing happens.
On the commandline there is the following error:

chromium-browser --app=www.gmail.com
mkdir: kann Verzeichnis „/home/ckosmowski/.kde“ nicht anlegen: Permission
denied
touch: kann „/home/ckosmowski/.kde/share/config/profilerc“ nicht berühren:
Permission denied
/usr/bin/xdg-mime: 718: cannot create
/home/ckosmowski/.kde/share/config/profilerc.new: Permission denied

This is confusing because i'm running ubuntu under gnome and not KDE.
